It depends where you get it, if you buy a used longboard itwill cost less but the most thing it depends on is if its REALand LEGIT! If you buy one from a place like fredmyers thereof course not real if you buy a longboard buy one at a skateshop or a place were people sell skate stuff. If u don't knowhow to tell whether its real or not is by the brand and most ofall the WHEELS if you spin the wheels and they stop veryquickly then DONT buy it or you'll regret it.

The speed of a longboard on flatland has more than just how fast you push in consideration. The quality of the wheels is important, as well as how maintained the bearings are, the road condition, and how much wind or force keeping you back there is. A smooth road with harder wheels is faster than a rocky road with hard wheels. Also, soft wheels are slower than hard wheels on most surfaces. Then you have to judge how hard you can push.
