In the UK you would either get 3 points and a 60 pound fine, or you could get the option of going to a police awareness meeting and learn about the affects of speeding on the roads. Basically they just make you watch some video about car crashes, also you will still have to pay your 60 pound fine, but you don't get the points. Hope this helps. JP
It depends on what was the speed limit in the area. If you were doing 80 on a 65 MPH zone , youd probably get 2 points. If you were doing 80 on a 25 MPH zone, thed probably take away ur licence. how many points would I get doing 78mph in a 60mph zone in Cumbria?
That would depend on the State (about 6 points in most jurisdictions).
It depends on local legislation.
Yes, if you get caught speeding at all, you can get points. 10 mph over or less is 2 points. http://www.michigan.gov/sos/0,1607,7-127-1627_8665_9066-23757--,00.html
This depends on your local road laws, which vary from place to place. In the UK if you are caught speeding, you may receive a fine for £500 and 3 penalty points on your driving licence (equivalent to 1 of 4 strikes)
Court appearance resulting in a hefty fine AND loss of licence !
In England most of the time, about 50£ and two points off your licence
2, a sack in the end zone is considered a safety which is 2 points
4 points
A Fixed Penalty Notice is what you would most likely be issued with for speeding at 70 in a 60 mph zone. This will cost £60 plus 3 points on your licence. A Court Summons might be issued if you were speeding at 86 mph or above in a 60 mph zone, or 96 or above in a 70 mph zone. If you have been issued with a Court Summons you could be fined up to £1,000, or £2,500 if speeding on a motorway, get between 2 and 6 penalty points and a possible disqualification.
You can request "drivers school" (if available) and if the judge grants it you may reduce or eliminate the penalty - but you can only (usually) get this privilege once. If you've been to drivers school before you can probably forget it.
