There is a plug on the side of the transmission for checking/adding lubricant. When adding lubricant, use a syringe or squeeze bottle.
Yes any B series Transmission will bolts up to your B20 Block. Of course you will have to get mounts and brackets that go with that specific trans.
Some use manual transmission lube and some use automatic transmission fluid. Call your local Mazda dealer and make sure you use the correct one. Or just look in your owner's manual.

Mazda dx what? Protege, 626, B-truck?? Protege capacity would be 2.83 quarts or 2.68 liters. Mazda 626 manual trans would take 2.9 quarts or 2.7 liters.
Is this a trick? I have a 1994 Mazda B3000 and there dip stick along the fire way, more to the left. Open the hood and find the stick that says "Transmission fluid". Remove the stick, after the engine is hot, and transmission in "Park" and wipe it clean. Read the directions on the stick. Yeah!
