The route is nicknamed "The Port Jeff Ferry". Port Jeff is a lovely town. Walkable from point of disembarkment with lots of eateries and shops.
There is also a ferry to Orient Point, Long Island from New London, CT. This one is approx. 1 hour 20 minutes.
