When you buy a car from a dealer, the car comes as is meaning that you are taking a vehicle in the condition as shown. Some cars come with added features and some cars come with removed features. As long as the car is in a tangible and working condition with good faith that the vehicle will remain in such condition as long as proper maintenance is applied then how ever you receive the vehicle is legal. GPS kill switches are tools that are used for the second, but most powerful owners of the vehicle ( often referred to as the lien holder) to protect their investment ( which is the balance of the loan on the vehicle). Just as well as it is legal to receive a set of rims, a DVD player or a new paint job on you vehicle that you are purchasing, it is also legal to receive a kill-switch. Also, the kill-switch is only a bad thing for people that don't pay their payments on time or fail to keep insurance.
