you just push down on the fuel door and it should spring up. If it doesnt there is a realese in side the trunk right below the fuel door.
you have to take door panel off and ajust the arm that leads from the handel to the latch u need a 7mm and 8mm wrench
See if you can get access to the gas door by removing the lining/carpet in the trunk. Chances are the cable may have become unhooked there or needs adjustment. I hope this helps you. Mark
I didn't know 83's had a lock. Open the trunk, and look behind the coverings toward the back of the fuel door. You can unlock it from there. My 84 300sd didn't have this feature, but both of my 89's do.

Fuel Fault code 89 translates to "Purge valve circuit. Looks at voltage across purge valve winding to detect open or short circuit."
VCM code fail 89 on a 1993 Jaguar typically indicates a problem with the vehicle's fuel system, specifically related to the fuel pressure or fuel delivery. This code can arise from issues such as a faulty fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, or problems with the fuel injectors. It's advisable to check the fuel system components and ensure they are functioning correctly to resolve this issue. A diagnostic tool can help pinpoint the exact problem for further troubleshooting.

i think its underneath the car around the drivers side door. just follow the steel fuel lines below your drivers side door and you'll find it.
If your f250 is fuel injected. It has three fuel pumps. One in each tank and one inside the frame rail under the drivers door.
Fuel tank, possible access panel in trunk.
I have an 89 dodge dakota and there is a fuel filter under the drivers side door inside the frame. There is no filter in the engine compartment.
