Slow down and turn your low beam headlights on. Turn on signal lights in advance and brake early as you approach a stop.
I have a 1998. I have never used the lower lights. Recently asked at the dealership how to turn them on. Lever on left of steering column where I turn on the headlights? The end of that lever pulls out, turning the lower lights on.
To adjust your headlights on 2005 Ford Taurus, first open the hood of your car and turn the lights on, find the headlight adjusters beneath the hood, and turn it counterclockwise to raise the beam or the other way to lower the headlight beam.
In such conditions, full beam would reflect back and dazzle the driver. Dipped beams should be used.
Once you have turned on the head lights, pull the switch towards you twice. The first time that you pull it will turn on the rear fogs, the second should be the driving lamps.
If your full beam doesn't stay on, make sure your light switch on the console is actually turned to "on". Unless you've had the daytime running lights disabled, then the lights will be on when switched "off" (!) and this means the full beam doesn't lock on, it only does "flash" mode. When the lights are switched "on", then the full beam should stay on.
I don't use fog lights while driving in a foggy weather because I don't find it very useful at all. I just turn on my cars high beam lights.
