The Sentry Safe that I have is .41 cubic feet. It is black with a gray keypad. I looked around the internet for the answer to this question myself. It seems that there are some Sentry Safes that allow you to disable the keypad beeps through a series of keypad presses. It appears that the safes that do have this option have directions for such in the user manual. Mine does not apparently have this option. So to disable the beeps I did the following:
1. opened the safe
2. took out the three screws holding the box on the inside of the door
3. took a pair of pliers and removed the black, round plastic component which happened to be labeled "speaker"
4. reassembled
And there you have it. No beeps when the keys are pressed.
WARNING: This method permanently disables the speaker. So if there is some kind of low battery warning that might sound or something like that ... you obviously wont hear it. So make sure your override key is somewhere safe and handy in case you need it (NOT IN THE SAFE).
The better thing to do is press 0 then prog enter, this puts the safe in stealth mode no beeping when you press keys, but still beeps if you have a low battery.
