There is no setting....they are torqued to 20 foot pounds.
There is no lash adjustment on Pontiac engines. You simply torque the nuts down to 20 foot lbs.
This vehicle is equipped with hydraulic valve lifters that do not require adjustment. They are set at zero lash by tightening the rocker arm nuts to 14-20 ft. lbs. If you hear a little valvetrain noise coming from your 3.1L engine, this is normal.
These are non adjustable. They simply torque down to 20 foot pounds.
Your best bet it to simple replace it... they are under $20, and they are really easy to do..

The cam sensor is located on the left side of the engine (as your looking at it) on the valve cover. It is the only sensor that is located on that side on the upper part of the engine.
