How do you reset the Check Engine Light on 2007 Saturn Vue - green hybrid - code P4055 - you replaced Gas Cap?

I replaced a broken Gas Cap 2 weeks ago and the Check Engine Light came on 1 week ago. I got the code P4055 today - and am hoping that the New Gas Cap will fix the problem. How can I reset the Check Engine Light?

This happened to me at 98,000 miles just prior to the service check that would have replaced my timing belt. I was told by the Saturn dealership that the reason the belt gave way so early was because there was a leak in the water pump which compromised the integrity of the timing belt and the reason this was not spotted at our "every 3,000" check up was that it was in an area that was hard to inspect. $5000 later up and running.
