First locate the inertia switch.
On a sedan it is on the right side of trunk behind liner. On a station wagon - behind service panel on the right side of the cargo area.Push the red button down until you hear a click. If it doesn't click, the switch wasn't tripped in the first place and the problem is somewhere else.
Reset it in the trunk to turn on or unplug it but your fuel pump wont work
It should be either in the trunk or the passenger or driver floorboard. To reset ot, push the button back down.
how do you reset the fuel cut-off shut switch on a 1995 ford econoline van?
on the back
On a 2002 Ford Taurus : The fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is on the passenger side of the trunk , behind the trunk liner ( there is an access hole )
the fuel pump shut off switch is in the trunk at the back on the drivers side, underneath a carpet/wood cover.
Chevrolet doesn't have a fuel reset switch. That's a Ford thing.
push the button down
Check and possibly replace door hinges
My guess is a short in the wires in the general area of the shifter.
On a 1989 Ford Mustang : The fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is in the trunk / cargo area It is between the tail lights and is covered by an oval shaped rubber " plug "
In the trunk, left side up high by the trunk lid hinge.
