The procedurte involves removing the entire dash display in order to get to the bulbs. Not an easy or simple task. My question to you would be, just how necessary is it for you to osee the mileage at night?IF you decide it's necessary, my adivce would be to replace EVERY light bulb in the dash display, because if one has failed the others cannot be far behind.,

The only ways to improve mileage are to check tire pressures, replace spark plugs, replace air filter, repair any causes for the check engine light to be on.....
The light bulb may be burnt out for the dashboard display. The fuse for the dashboard display may be blown. The fuse can be found in the fuse box.
There aren't bulbs in the digital display of a 94 Towncar. The whole cluster had to be replaced with a good one and needs to be calibrated to your mileage and such. Check with your local dealer after obtaining a replacement. I would start with a junkyard for replacements.

The people who state it is easy are STUPID. They are soldered on to the circuit board.
If the engine is high mileage yes, replace the head bolts. If it is low mileage it is your choice, but is always a good idea to replace them.

there is no light bulb for the odometer. its a digital display. you have to replace the dash. used usally a 100. or so. had it happen to me. 2000 buick regal gs
