To replace the main drive hub on the flywheel of a JOHN DEERe 6620 combine, first ensure the machine is safely shut down and disconnected from power. Remove the combine’s rear access panel to access the flywheel, then detach the drive belts and any necessary components obstructing the hub. Use appropriate tools to remove the bolts securing the drive hub, replace it with the new hub, and reassemble everything in reverse order, ensuring all connections are secure before testing the machine. Always refer to the operator's manual for specific procedures and torque specifications.
If the truck is a 4 wheel drive it would be easier to remove the engine to replace the flywheel. If the truck is a 2 wheel drive removing the transmission and bell housing is the way to go.
The starter drive has broken, replace starter.

John Deere: Drive Green Game
Big job. To replace a flywheel, you need to remove the drive shaft, and the gearbox. iIf a manual transmission, you will also need to remove the clutch and pressure plate. If an automatic, you will need to remove the torque converter. With all this removed, you then remove the flywheel and replace with new one. then reinstall clutch, etc gear box and driveshaft. It is a good idea at this time ,if a manual transmission,to replace the clutch, while you have it apart. "NOTE" make sure when you replace flywheel that the correct number of teeth on flywheel will match number of teeth on starter motor. To do this mark a tooth on the flywheel and count the teeth.Alos count the teeth on the starter motor.installing wrong one will chew up the teeth on new flywheel and starter and then you will have to start all over.
