That is usually electrical. Depending in the vehicle, a spark plug wire, a spark plug, or a coil, if individual coil.

∙ 2009-08-23 05:52:48The 3.0 liter V-6 engine number three cylinder is on the left hand side of the engine. The number three cylinder will be the middle cylinder.
Cylinder 1 is the first/front cylinder on the right side of the engine looking from the front of the car. That bank is 1-3-5-7 and the left bank is 2-4-6-8.
From Passenger side to drivers side, 1, 2, 3, 4.
It depends upon cylinder in car. 3 ignition coils - 3 cylinder engine. 4 ignition coils- 4 cylinder engine.
On a standard V12 it has 24 valves however some newer engines have 3 or 4 valves per cylinder making the number 36 or 48.
It means that more than one cylinder has a misfire history. PO301 would be cylinder number 1 misfire. PO302 would be number 3 cylinder misfire.
P0303 is cylinder #3 misfire. P0300 would be random misfire. Either way you need to diagnose the case of a misfire. Check spark plugs, plug wires(if equipped), cylinder compression, fuel inectors, and wiring.
po300-Random/multiple cylinder misfire detected. po303-Cylinder no. 3 misfire detected. po306-cylinder no. 6 misfire detected po300-Random/multiple cylinder misfire detected. po303-Cylinder no. 3 misfire detected. po306-cylinder no. 6 misfire detected
Cylinder number 3 misfire.
misfire cylinder #3. A 300 code is a misfire code and the last number relates to the cylinder that is misfiring.
Random misfire, cylinder 2 misfire, and cylinder 3 misfire. see related question below.
You should repair it as soon as possible because it can cause the catalytic converter or oxygen sensors to go bad. Then you are spending money you could have saved.
Stop by http://www.coloradofans.com there are different people that have had that problem. you can probably message them personally and see how they got to that problem. P0300= Random/ multiple cylinder misfire detected P0301= Misfire detected- cylinder #1 P0302= Misfire detected- cylinder #2 P0303= Misfire detected- cylinder #3 P0304= Misfire detected- cylinder #4 p0305= Misfire detected- cylinder #5 P.S. These are Diagnostic trouble codes, not vechicle id numbers.
It means # 3 cylinder has a misfire. My advice is to replace all the spark plugs, and check the spark plug wires carefully.
It is probably the coil on cylinder number 4. The easiest way to troubleshoot it is to swap the coils between 3 and 4 and see if the misfire then shows up on three.
