you don't repair the serpentine belt. You buy a new one, they cost about 30 bucks
Disconnect the power. Unbolt the compressor, loosen the belt. Remove belt. Remove bolts that hold pipe or hose assemblies on. Replace in reverse, Use new seals vacuum check to -30 bars for 30 minutes then recharge,. Also change accumulator and ALL o-rings and seals.
Don't try to bypass the compressor by using a shorter belt. That will alter the belt wrap around the pulleys, which will result in slippage, squealing, and rapid belt wear. Go to www.dormanproducts.com and look up the part number for an A/C bypass pulley and then call your local auto parts store to check stock. They fit in place of your compressor and use the same bolts and bolt holes. No drilling. They contain a pulley the same size as your compressor. They cost around $30. You can use the original belt and keep the same belt routing. That's the best way to go.

I would suspect a worn or loose drive belt. Can also be an alternator or A/C compressor bearing failing.
