center console on what? Most vehicles, the center console is removed by taking out the part with the lid which is attached with screw's in the bottom, some you just lift out. under that there is maybe one or two more screws. then lift the plate around the shifter which is probably on with either screws or just clipped in, be careful if clipped in or you may break if not careful. slip a small screw driver under the corners and sides and pry up gently. under that there may or may not be more screws. there may or may not be a screw on either side of the console under the dash. Some consoles have an ash tray on the back which again there may or may not be a couple of screws. After you get all the screws out then lift up and back over the shifter. you may have to hold your break peddle, switch the car on , not crank and pull the gear shift back to get it over the shifter. Make sure you keep your foot on the break peddle or get someone to do it for you or the car will roll unless you put something behind the wheel's. sometimes it is easier if you take the two front seats out. I do reupholstery for a living that is how I know.
