Well I headed out to the garage and made a noble attempt at removing the top of the center console. From another post I found out the woodgrain facia on the radio comes off with a good solid pull. Ok, one piece off now for the center console. Tugged on the back half of the woodgrain (and I do mean tugged!!) behind the e-brake and sure enough that pulled off. (the woodgrain is divided into two sections, front and back) Now the front half is held on with two screws toward the back (and hidden under the piece I just pulled off) and clips to the front. Remove the screws and again tug on the front and that too will now come off. Mission accomplished! Scoured everything up, waxed it and put it back on and looks great! (I hate that grame that builds up in the cracks and crevices!)

There's no fun in playing it safe. Why not try something a little unhinged?
