A) Lift up the car
B) Find the brake rotr
C) Put the car down
D) Take the wheel off
E) Lift up the car up again
F) the take the bumper off
G)then take the passenger door off
H) The uninstall the radio
I) then go to the library and sign up book club
J) Order a large Pizza
K) Get a new car
L) Take off the bumper, passenger door and radio of the new car
M) Find the rotor, take it out of the new car, and there u go
N) after ur done all that, go back to the library and cancel ur membership in the book club
You'll need to remove the wheel, the brake pads and the caliper. Once all of that is out of the way, there are rotor retaining screws that need to be removed, either on the studs, or on the axle itself.
If it's like my 94 Grand Caravan, you must remove the caliper assembly completely, and then the rotor will pull straight out toward you. Also, if it's like mine, you must MUST remove the rotor in order to replace the inner brake shoe. Not intuitive looking at it, but luckily I have the factory shop manual. Roy
Remove the tire and rim. Loosen the callipers and lift up out of the way. Unbolt the rotor and pull it off. The rotor may be siezed on the hub. If that is the case you will have to hit it with a hammer between the studs until it comes loose.

Usually located at the upper end of the brake pedal under dash area
Remove the tire and wheel from your 1994 Mercury Cougar. Remove the brake spring and brake caliper. The brake shoes will come off.
Remove the two slider screws that hold it in place.
unplug it unscrew it remove it. bidda bodda boom.
