Check to see if the rotor turns when you manually turn the engine. If it does then check to see if the coil is receiving power. If it is then check to see if the coil is sending power to the distributor. If the distributor is receiving power then check the points and pins inside and make sure they line up according to what is default for you car, and check the plug wires to see if they are carrying the charge.
