I just got finished doing this. There should be 3 prongs on the switch. The way I did it you need to run 4 wires, 3 to the toggle switch, one from the ground of the fan, to the ground wire of the battery. After that you need to ground the switch(there will be an etching/sticker that tells you which is which on the switch). Run a wire from positive from the battery to the switch. Make sure you install an inline fuse, 25 amps should be good. After that run another positive from the remaining prong, to the fan, and things should starts spinning and blowing air. Good luck.
to shut the fans on and off by yourself. remove the connector for the wires at the fan. hook a wire from the positive on fan motor to the inside toggle switch, do not hook to switch yet. run a wire from the positive on battery, hook to battery after hooking up switch. hook up the wires to the switch. then the battery. its up to you if you want to install a 15 amp fuse in line from battery to toggle switch.. you can also get the power from the fuse box instead of the battery. this should work for you. if not you may need to ground the other fan wire.
id have to look to see why but what you can do is get new fans and hook it up to a toggle switch. when you hook the toggle switch up just flip the switch before it gets too hot
Hook a switch up to the remote turn on and ground. Before the wiring for the amp.
go to your local parts store and purchase a simple toggle switch. hook one end of the switch to a good ground and hook the wire for the parking brake from the radio to the switch. when you insert a DVD and get the blue screen turn the switch on then off then on again slowly and you will have video
To hook up a push button and toggle switch to a Nissan 280ZX, first, identify the functions you want to control, such as starting the engine or activating accessories. Connect the push button in parallel with the ignition switch to allow for starting the engine when pressed, ensuring it's wired correctly to the starter relay. For the toggle switch, wire it to the desired accessory circuit, ensuring it interrupts or completes the circuit as needed. Always consult the vehicle's wiring diagram for specific connections and safety precautions.
Yes, its not like your cars gonna blow up. Check with a local Mechanic before you do it. Love, Marybeth
I have the same question, I'm thinking about using electrical wire and switches to create a 3-way speaker system...
you have to hook it up to a basic toggle switch and ground it and when you turn it on you have to flip the switch a couple times,... you cant just ground it or it will show the blue screen
Take the 2 wires on the relay off and run each into the interior of the car where a suitable switch can be installed. Take the 2 leads and hook them onto the switch. Make sure you have an inline 30 amp fuse installed.

The autos do not have a safety switch....They have a sensor located in the trans itself that tells the ecu if its in neutral/park.....I believe its a 3 pin plug going into the trans itself,.....trace it and see where it leads.....You may be able to hook up a toggle switch..
