Lastly, you should put them outside or in a garage with a fan blowing on them. This will maximize the amount of vaporization that can take place with the mats. I have also heard of people putting their floor mats in the washing machine and then the dryer to help get rid of the smell. Although I have not tried this, it would help some. The most important thing to remember about getting rid of this smell is to leave the mats in an exposed area where they can "air out". Over time the smell minimizes, but never completely goes away.
