Remove the recoil then if the spring is not broken you tighten the spring (you are looking at the inside of the recoil you turn it clock wise until it is tight) line the wholes for the rope up then clamp so it won't move take a wire and hook the roap threw tie the not in the end of the make sure you have enough roap. Then put handle on the roap tie the not in the roap to hold the handle. Then unclamp the recoil and if all was done right it should work then reinstall.
