To fill the gearbox of your Renault Kangoo van, you will first need to locate the gearbox filler plug, usually found on the side of the gearbox. Use the correct grade and type of gearbox oil recommended by Renault for your specific model. With the van on a level surface, remove the filler plug and slowly add the gearbox oil until it reaches the bottom of the filler hole. Reinstall the filler plug securely, and you have successfully filled the gearbox.

There is a small plastic thumb screw wing nut on the side, not the top of box as that is a breather pipe. Use a pipe and fill until the oil starts dribbling out, the gearbox will hold around 3 litres on a Renault Kangoo on JC1 boxes.
