How do you create a driveway on sims 2?

Assuming you have entered into a lot, press F3 or click on the build mode

If you have nightlife there should be an icon on the upper right corner that says 'garage' when you hover over it. Click on it.

You must buy the driveway and then put it somewhere so that it connects with the street. Buy a driveway extension and place it so it connects to the driveway.

Then the garage door goes in between the two, and your DONE!

Put your car in it and if you want, decorate the garage!!
