Changing the blower motor is a timely task working in a tight area. Acura calls for the entire removal of the dash and condenser, which is not necessary. I suggest you use a new motor for replacement or you will do this job twice like I did! Remove as many parts possible from the passenger side of the dashboard including: glove box, wire harnesses, lower dash beam, and 40+ fasteners, using an electric screwgun. Do not remove hardware from the condenser or vents located toward the center of the dash. The motor is located in the white plastic box on the right side of the dash and butts to the condenser coil. You will want to remove the complete box. After removing hardware you must stick your tongue out, cuss at the dog, and call the car many bad names to properly wiggle the box out. Removal is the most difficult step of the job. Once removed DO NOT touch the clips surrounding the box, instead remove the four or six screws on the "bottom" of the box and the motor will be inside. Repeat in opposite for installation. I suggest allowing 3-4 hours for job and take several pictures along the way for proper installation. I repeat, do not remove entire dash or condenser, doing so will require a full A/C refrigerant charge. Good Luck!
The blower motor resister for an Acura Legend drops the voltage to the blower motor. This is what allows the motor to run slower for the medium and low settings.
it's the blower motor
i had a 1990 acura legend my blower motor was located under the passenger side dash board
Possibly the Blower Motor has stopped working. This was the case in my 1994 Acura Legend. I just replaced it, and now the heat works great again!
Type your answer here... 2 hrs
it is located under the glove box remove panel under glove box and the blower motor has three screws and two wires takes about 30 minutes
On the acura legend you have to lift up the motor or lower it down and the transmission to change the mounts,.,,keep in mind on the front supports you can see them just below the radiator and you have to pull that out as well
I used Valvoline VV155 MaxLife SAE 5w30 Motor Oil in my 1990 acura legend
blower motor eltavolitas 1998 acura tl3.2
how to change the blower motor
remove bottom cover on right side of dashboard, after removal, laying on your back looking up at the bottom of the dash, to your left or passenger side door you will need to remove 2 screws on another cover that will reveal the case containing the blower motor, there are 8 screws to remove on this case to reveal blower motor, after cover is removed there will be 2 screws or 8mm bolts holding the blower motor in place, remove these 2 screws, blower motor will fall into your hands. Probably behind the glove box. Check for a melted connection at the blower motor also.
