The best thing to do if you need to change a garage door tension cable is to call a repair person. They have special tools that allow them to manipulate the door, the springs, and the cable with a minimum of danger of injury.

How to replace my fuel door cable in my civic 2005
Honda Odyssey sliding door cable repair
Need more info. Exactly what front door cable are you referring too...
This is done by removing the trim on the inside of the door. Then it is neccessary to remove the No1 service hole cover. Then one removes the door lock protector, the door handle protector, and detatch the control cable from the outside door handle. You then remove the door lock wire harness loops, and remove the lock from the door. Detach the old cable and reattach the new. and reverse the steps you just followed to reassemble the door.
For starters, check out: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=396997
Find the place where the cable runs from the opener to the door. check if its broke somewhere. You can also pull on the cable at the door itself and see if it will open.
You can pull on the cable for the fuel door. The cable is located in the trunk behind the side panel.
Firstly, the door has to want to change.....
if both the inside and outside door handles work then the cable that opens the door automaticlyis jamed in the moter. Replace the auto open moter or like I did cut the cable and use the door manuly.the cable and auto moter is located under the trim on the passenger side in the rear hatch area
the reason the door will only open part way is because there is a steel cable that moves the door and it is binding up cut the cable and it will open and close fine But, of course, now you have a manual door only since the opening and closing mechanism has been destroyed by cutting the cable. Instructions for removing the cable (uncut) and the whole power door motor mechanism from the inside rear wall are available in the vehicle service manual and power door supplement. You can replace the mechanism or be happy with a manual door. Usually the cable jams when someone manually forces the door open (or closed) and the slack part of the cable jumps off the pulleys.
Cable probably snapped
