There are several things that can cause shifting problems in your 1989 Chevrolet Blazer transmission. The most common cause of shifting problems is a lack of transmission fluid. Broken shifting forks can also cause transmission shifting problems.
There is no adjustment to my knowledge.
The 1989 Toyota Camry shifter linkage cables have adjustment swivel nuts on each end of the cable. Turning the swivel nuts will lengthen or shorten the shifter linkage cable.
When I tried to install handle I can open it from the inside of car however, when I install the linkage I can only open it from the out side. I tried many times to adjust linkage but got same results.
OK, you have a 1989 S-10 Blazer. What is your question?
What about it?
Because the hinges are welded in place, replacing the hinge pins and bushings should restore the door back to original position.
i have an 87 blazer that's got same prob and after searching and asking for help i found this to be a common prob with not many answers but this is what i came up with, first of all have you tried all the usual adjustments? and is yours injection? if so there is a capped of idle screw to adjust (after removing cap) if still no joy and your really stuck then do what i ended up doing by puting a return spring on throttle linkage, mine been fine since i did this.
No it will not even bolt up. GM redesigned the transmission and its not even close to being the same as the 1989 trans.
I believe that the first digital cluster on a S-10 Blazer was in 1989.
1982 - 1994 (early year models).
If you have no dash lights at all on your 1989 S10 Blazer, a blown bulb can be the problem. You should also check the fuse.
