You do not have to totally remove but partially drop the subframe down about 4"-6" while jacking up the engine and transmission. Will require removal of the bracket going onto the block on the front mount due to the lenght of the lower stud. The rear can be removed without taking off the bracket if you can get the nut off but will have to remove brace and heat shield. Requires alot of patience to get it out because will only slide out in one position.
there hard to change on anything
2 front mount and rear mount
Transmission mounts are they considered motor mounts? After saying that how many motor mounts do I need to replace, if I change out all of them.
directions to change the motor mounts?
The FWD Chrysler Pacifica has 2 Motor Mounts. They are the same part number and known as either the front & rear or left & right mounts...all the same thing. The Pacifica also has two additional mounts which typically fail. One of them is the Transmission Mounnt and the other is the Rear Torque Strut. You can find a kit that includes all of the above for a complete mount replacement on sites like Amazon in the $120 to $150 range. They are typically made by DEA or MotorKing.
well, how do you replace the motor mounts on this car?
NoNo
Yes you will need V8 motor mounts.
How do i change the driver side motor mount.
Carefully place a jack with a block of wood under the motor, loosen mounts from motor, jack motor up just enough to remove old mounts, replace mounts, lower motor onto new mounts, tighten motor to mounts. Make sure there aren't any hoses, wires, lines, etc. that may tear while lifting the motor.
