Go to court with proof of insurance stating it was in effect on the date of the violation.
yes it can.
I would say the Court listed on the ticket that you received. I would even state that the phone number for such court is probably listed on the ticket itself.
beats me
You must have the tittle, or release of the title, proof of insurance, proof of current inspection of vehicle.
Yes, it is state law that cars have insurance so they won't let you drive off the lot without proof of insurance.
No....a binder is a form of proof of insurance
I think you need to get a driver's license in any state to get car insurance period. An insurance company will not supply you with insurance if they don't have proof that you are licensed to do so. My suggestion to you...get a license!
It may depend on the state the vehicle is registered in. In California, proof of insurance is required in order to register a vehicle, which is done when you purchase a car, and you need a license when purchasing auto insurance. I know in California that dealership wouldn't be able to transfer title to a person who doesn't have insurance since the DMV would require proof. Ask a dealership in your state for specific requirements.
Somewhere in the motor vehicle code. If you want a more specific answer you'd need to specify what state you're talking about. In California, for example, the requirement to have the registration in the car is California Vehicle Code Division 3, Chapter 1, Article 4, Section 4454, and the requirement to furnish proof of insurance (actually, proof of financial responsibility, which is generally in the form of an insurance policy but doesn't technically have to be) is in California Vehicle Code Division 7, Chapter 1, Article 2, Section 16020.
