Fix the oil pressure problem and see what that does for you.
The problem I had was oil and gas flowed out the muffler on my snapper 11 hp lawn tractor. To fix it I had to drain the oil and get a new plug. The issue that caused it was I needed a shut off valve in the gas line to stop the gas frome running back into the engine and eventually getting into the oil causing it to gush out the muffler with a lot of smoke. It is an easy fix and it now runs as smooth as new. I hope this helps you
if the timing chain and tensioners are worn out the chain will wear a hole in the timing cover and the oil will get into the water jacket and the antifreeze will get into the oil high time to fix it
if you have a mechanical fuel pump on the side of your block, the diaphragm has a hole in it which will dump fuel straight into your oil. a low cost fix.
It should not hurt it but it will fowl the spark plug if heavy oil mix. To fix the problem drain gas out of the lawnmower and refill with good fuel and clean or replace spark plug. It will probably make smoke for a little bit but that should fix it.
Can you be a little more specific about the problem?
You have a serious problem here. This will cause permanent engine damage. It could be a bad fuel pressure regulator, or one or more injectors are bleeding off when you stop. Fix ASAP !
It is not totally unusual. It should not happen though. It means that your carburetor is leaking gas through while the mower is not running. It will fill the cylinder and get into the oil. A quick fix is to get an inline gas shutoff valve and just shut off the gas when you are not using the mower. Otherwise you will need to rebuild the carburetor to fix the problem. You will also have to clear out all the gas from the cylinder and if it got into the oil you will need to drain and change the oil.
Insufficient oil or problem with pump.
there is two ways you can fix this problem take it to an oil lube center and have them clean your injectors or youy can buy injector cleaner from an auto store and put it the gas tank on an empty tank
Pour prestone complete fuel system cleaner or other fluid carb cleaner in it with gas & oil.... eventually it should fix the problem
An oil leak problem probably is the sign of a problem in your oil pressure or it could simply be a slow leak. The problem can cost anywhere from $100.00 to $400.00 for an oil pressure problem.
