I have done much searching on little tikes bikes, and can not at this point find any information of any ever being recalled. I went to a website with recalls for little tikes and was not able to find anything on the bikes. Here is the website: http://www.recallowl.com/recalls/Little Tikes
I just checked all the recalls, there is one regarding this being a problem. If you do not know if this recall has been performed then you may want to go to a dealer and have them check your vehicles VIN# to see if it has ever been performed. If not then they need to perform this recall item, there are other listed recalls dealing with door latches/seatbelts. The way I find the different recalls is type in the vehicle year, model/make then place recalls. This problem you are having may be serious enough to cause possible fire. Check it out.
