I do not see how it could protect you anymore that it coud hurt you. Infact I would say having your door unlocked would be better. This way if you are physically unable to open the door yourself then people on the outside could.

The idea of locking vehicle doors, is to protect you from other people, not collisions. Some cars lock the doors for you, as soon as you move and only unlock the drivers door when you use a short press on the remote control keyfob.

There have been a spate of crimes where 'scumbags', leap into the passenger side of single females shopping, or stationary at a traffic junction.

Locking your vehicle doors while driving provides better protection in a collision by preventing occupants from being ejected?

Locking your doors is just plain provides better protection. Besides being ejected which is a subject I know nothing about, anyone can walk up to you car and open the door if it is left unlocked. Locking your doors makes you slightly less vulnerable to predators and muggers.

Why are cells in a spreadsheet locked?

They are not actually locked as such. The locking only occurs when Protection is turned on. Having locked already set just makes it simpler when Protection is put on, rather than having to go through the individual cells to lock them then too. As long as Protection is off locking has no effect so you can work on the spreadsheet as normal. If a user wants some cells to be left so that nobody can change them, like rates of pay for staff that might be using it, locking can be implemented with Protection.

Why are the brakes locking up on my Ford Focus why are the brakes locking up on my Ford Focus?

My friend is having the same problem with her 2011 Focus. They told her it was to do with the traction control kicking in. She said it occurred out of the blue and wasn't under extreme conditions or bad driving. Ford replicated the locking and traction control activation during a test, but they said it wasn't a steering or break issue.
