Good luck with that. The best way is not to get any wax on the trim in the first place.
A person can remove greasy hand prints from a car by washing it. If they do not come off after a car wash, then a wax may be needed.

There are "bug and tar" removers in the car cleaning isle of the department stores. This will work to remove sap also. These will strip the wax off your car also, so it is a good idea to wax afterwards.

Don't ever put the wax down the sink, drain, toilet...etc.Freeze the pan then scrape the frozen wax off. This works fine but can be a little slow.If you are using a double boiler you can use a paper towel (sturdy paper towel example: viva) to soak up the excess wax and then pour boiling water from lower boiler into upper boiler and dispose of outside.
