Yes it does i am not for sure the length but diesel is different than gas in which it will grow bacteria that will clog fuel systems
Yes today diesel fuel is 97% cleaner and much more unstable. Furthermore Diesel is naturally unstable due to refineries are blending distilled crude oil and "cracked" crude oil. The "cracking" process breaks long carbon chain molecules leaving an unstable mixture of charged molecules that naturally clump back together. The moment diesel fuel leaves the refinery, it begins to degrade. We have found through testing, that after 6months fuel starts to degrade and after 2 years it has to be remediated.
