Yes all vehicles have PCV Valves. On your Equinox you will need to remove the engine plastic cover that says Chevrolet 3.4L. You do this by disconnecting the electrical wire from the oil pump located on you left side and unscrew the entire oil fill spout. Then just remove the cover. On the bottom right on the valve cover you will see a metal bracket with a small hose coming out and going up to the intake manifold. Remove the hose and you will find the PCV Valve however I am still puzzled how to remove the metal bracket holding the pcv valve on. I suggest taking it into a service center to have it replaced. PCV valves for equinox's runs between $3-$5 but it will cost some labor to have it done at s service center so shouldn't be more than $30.
The 06 silverado 4.3 does not have a PCV valve.

On a 1996 Chevy Camaro, the PCV valve is located on the right side of the valve cover. There is a hose that runs from the PCV valve and connects to the back of the intake manifold.
