No, all Dodge Neon's do not have a trunk release. This was part of the option package offered on some of the earlier Dodge Neons.
all neons are front wheel drive!
Some early Neons had 4 per wheel, all the rest have 5 per wheel.
I pulled out all the little rubber plugs on the trunk lid. Problemed solved.
It means your trunk is not closed all the way
Check the release fuse first. Then check the relay, and the switch. If these are all ok, then check the solenoid at the release inside of the trunk.
The cadillac catera did not come out with a key for the trunk its all electronic so if your battery is dead there is a release lever in the trunk on the trunk lid.
If you are having issues with the trunk light or remote release and all other locking and lighting systems are functioning then it is the trunk switches that are bad
It is inside the glove box. Open the glove box and on the left-top side there is a black button that opens the trunk. All you have to do is push the button. I am not sure but in white markings it might say trunk release or has a small diagram of a trunk open or opening.
It can cost $200 to $600 to fix a Dodge Neons ignition. It make cost less if a person can find a better deal at an auto shop. It all depends on the part prices and the labor charges of the shop fixing it.
Looking under the hood of your 2004 dodge neon, DIRECTLY let of the battery. remove the battery and move around some hoses and wiring to access. simple fix. this should also be the same for all 2004 neons. sniper3735
look in your owners manual as it shows all fuses in the car, also make sure the bulb just isn't burnt out.
Surely a Mercedes has a remote trunk release? If not, have you tried removing the rear seat back and entering the trunk from there. If all else fails time to call a locksmith..... Surely he'd check for a trunk release before posting... you gotta get in thru the speakers, not much room rico
