Life insurance companies pretty much always do a check of your MVR when you take out any life insurance policy. The only time thy can legally check your driving records are during the first two years that you have or have applied for a policy. This is due to the two year non contestable clause on most all life insurance policies. This is the only time where they can find out things that you did not tell them truthfully or kept information from the company when you applied for the policy. They check your driving record to see if you have a problem with drink and driving, drug possession, speeding while driving, and other issues that may make you a higher risk to an insurance company.
