No. Only around 1% of US cars run on diesel. Most run on gasoline (petrol) or a mix of gasoline and ethanol.
Most cars run on fosil fuels, Petrol, Diesel,
coal and then diesel
Gasoline, Diesel, CNG, LPG.
only the cars that run on flammable fuel have spark plugs the only exceptions are diesel powered
You don't if it is a diesel or electric, All internal combustion engiens need fuel to burn/ run - gas, diesel, propane, CNG.
It can be use to make bio-fuel to run in diesel cars.
The vast majority of passenger cars run on gasoline (petrol) or gasoline mixed with ethanol. Some run on diesel fuel (or biodiesel), which most large trucks and buses use. A small minority of cars are all-electric or hybrid electric. Some buses and trucks run on natural gas.
Petroleum Spirit(Petrol), otherwise known as Gasoline(Gas). With a different engine construction cars can also run on Diesel fuel, like commercial vehicles. Petrol/Gas gives the engine smooth ride, low noise, and acceleration. Diesel gives the engine higher noise level, (diesel rattle), and low acceleration, but diesel engines will 'slog' all day long, 'up hill and down dale'.
Put diesel fuel in a gasoline vehicle and it will not run at all.
Only special built cars. You could run a pre-07 emissions diesel vehicle on jet fuel - if you did it to a diesel with a Diesel Particulate Filter, you'd ruin the DPF within an hour of operation. However, doing so would be illegal, as on-highway diesel engines are required by law to run #2 ULSD.
Diesel engines run on diesel fuel. Gasoline will destroy a diesel engine.
They actually run very similiarly, with the main difference being the process of which injection of the fuel is put into the engine. In this way Diesel fuel tends to be more efficient and works better with less.
