version 2 and 3 are just different style and design of gearbox it doesnt pertain to a particular company, version 2 gearboxes are a bit thicker and bulkier and are more well designed to protect the more sensitive plastic trigger box version 3 gearboxes are good but not as good as version 2 and have the motor in the grip of the gun, version 3 gearboxes are in g36 and ak 47s, version 2 is in m4 series and any m16 styled airsoft gun
