A 2000 Chevy Venture might skip while driving because of water in the fuel or damaged or dirty fuel injectors. You might also have an issue with the distributor.

There could be a few reasons why a 2000 Chevy Impala shuts off while driving. There could be a problem with the fuel pump, a bad spark plug, or even a loose battery cable.
Lots of reasons, but mine was the fuel pump was bad. It would overheat after driving maybe 15 minutes, then I would let the car stop for an hour or two and it would start back up.
If you have water in your gas line, this may be a cause for sputtering (simple scenario). If so, get some HEAT or product to assist evaporating the water in your gas. Good luck!
