Your air compressor is dead or the refrigerant has leaked out. Wait!!! Don't give up yet. This very same situation happened to me. I had air blowing(not cold at all) but the outside A/C compressor was not running. Check your inside unit which is either in a closet or in your attic. There is a water pan underneath it. If it is full of water, it has activated a floating shut-off switch that is wired directly to your outside Compressor. You must remove the water. the best way is with a large wet-dry vac. Then make sure the drainage pipe is properly connected and is not clogged. You can probably fix that by sucking out the drain pipe with your vacuum. Once the water is gone, your floating shut-off switch will re- activate your Air Conditioner. Kind of like the floating ball in your toilet. You may sweat a lot, but you will save yourself a service call and some big bucks. Good Luck!!!
