Hopefully your car isn't really getting that hot. I've heard that if the temperature sensor is grounding out accidentally it can read the maximum temp. Check for a loose wire or frayed one. Perhaps you can get someone to jiggle the wires to it while you watch to see if the gauge jumps. If you can find the specs of what the temp sensor should be reading then you can check it's resistance with a digital multimeter. Normally the temperature sensor is just a resistor that changes it's resistance based on it's temperature. Usually a high resistance when cold and a low resistance when hot. And if it's periodically grounding out - the resistance would be low, causing the high temp reading.
Gage Hubbard goes by Gage Munster.
try replacing the thermostat

U NEED A THERMOSTAT. THAT IS WHAT HOLDS THE COOLANT IN THE RADIATOR, SO IT CAN COOL DOWN BEFORE IT GOES BACK IN THE MOTOR.
it is possible that you have a faulty thermostat or you have air pockets in the new radiator when the new coolant was added
cool mint goes first cause the taste
possible bad sending unit, if it has the plastic tip it is more than likely cracked and bad. the new replacement ones should be brass. if not that then maybe loose connection or corrosion in terminals at sensor.
Hot air goes on top while the cool air rushes in to make wind.
She is not cool. She goes mad sometimes.
Could be relay or the fan sensor itself that goes on the side in the back of the water pump housing... the fan is surpost to kick on when the engine reaches 192 Degrees.
