Regardless of the block, you have to use Vortec heads to use a Vortec intake.
The late 80's to early 90's tuned port engines had multiport injection, along with the lt1, and the later ls1.
anything you want basicly the skys the limt and it doesnt kill your bank account! depending on what model you have, the v6 or v8 lt1. you can put a ls1 a ls6 ls7 all will be sufficent and how you mod the motor is up to you. mine has a 450hp lt1 with alot of mods but she runs like a champ just no good on the gas milage but that's not what im about. its all up to you i guess. most of those motors will require a little modification as far as motor mounts and bellhousings to the tranny depending on what you use and want.
It depends on which heads whomever built the stroker motor decided to use.
yes. they both use the 420a motor.
Not without A LOT of modification.Answeryea they will fit but you will have to switch over to the newer style valve covers because of different bolt patterns AnswerYes they'll fit, but like answer #1 some modifications. Two intake bolts are angled different, than the others. You'll also have to change valve covers. I have a set of LT1 heads with 202 160 valves, ported and polished and seven sixteen screw in studs and a hv1000 brodix intake and its fast. So it will work. also the heads have to be drilled for the water to flow through the intake. three holes alltogether(2holes drilled in between center exhaust ports below spark plugs on each head. Not mentioned above is the fact that the LT1 heads have to be welded in 4 places or water will flow into the intake valley on a gen 1 block. GMPP has a carb manifold with provisions for a distributor for a LT1 that I used on my LT1 head on Gen 1 conversion. I also drilled and tapped the front of the heads for water return.
differen't pistons or you can use differen't heads.
305 heads of course, 350 heads will fit for sure and possibly 400. obviously no big block heads will fit. a 305 with 400 heads gets you a little over 352. 350 with 400 heads is a 383. add and divide
depends on the car u get the LT1 from. example, a lt1 wiring diagram from a corvett is different drom a cadillac. use this website www.thirdgen.org they have good info. u just have to go to swaps section and on the top there is a threat just on LT1 swaps.
yes you can. but it needs to be done right!!! you can pick up whats called block seal it fixes heads, gaskets and blocks. sometimes your better off just getting new heads.
Yes. For street use you should drill the steam holes using a head gasket as a template.
