The surest way is to wire the fan directly to the car battery, the fan has two wires
if they are connected directly to the battery and the fan does not come on the fan is defective. Be careful if you intend on driving the truck with the wires connected directly to the battery make sure the fan is turning so that it is drawing air thru-out
the radiator and not pushing air into radiator. If the fan is blowing into radiator the wires are hooked up backwards. If you desire to leave the fan wiring this way on a semi-permanant
basis, I would suggest the positive wire be connected to Bat + thru
a fuse and the negative wire be run through
firewall to a toggle switch then to an electrical eyelet which can be attached to Bat - somewhere excessable
to the driver

the sensor varies in resistance with coolant temperature.

the sensor is less and less as temperature increases. If
you can locate two wire plug attached to the sensor, unplug it and simply jump the two wires with a paperclip or needle. If you have located the correct sensor the fan will come on as soon as you turn the key on.
