Yes
If the Power Steering oil was put in the clutch hydraulics those hydraulics are ruined.
If in some weird way it got onto the clutch disk the clutch would slip and drag.
where do i put the power stearing fluid ina 1993 acclaim
Alternators do not generally over heat, and the do not contain fluid. Since it is red in color I would assume that you are spraying transmission fluid from a cooler line, or power stearing fluid. Power stearing is much more likely since the power stearing pump is also belt driven (just like the alternator), and commonly mounted very near the alternator.
Camry uses the same kind of fluid for both. Just make sure that you have the proper one.
try filling up your power stearing fluid, that could be the problem.
Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid ( according to the Owner Guide )
your power stearing fluid is low or the power steering system is bad.
More Then Likely That Transmition Fluid & OR Power Stearing Fluid More Likly Power Stearing Fluid Cause That Is A Clear Color & Cause They Are Gears But i Would CaLL Ford First. Transmition Fluid Has The Color Added. IF The FLuid IS OnLy At The Joints Like BaLL Joints It is Ball Joint Greese. Thanks For Reading This
The clutch fluid reservoir is by the Power Distribution Box in your engine compartment which is by the drivers side of the engine compartment ( use DOT 3 brake fluid in the hydraulic clutch )
yes the clutch and pressure plate transfer the cars motors power to the transmission and so on. if they are slipping then u loose power
the front side of engine bay near the battery drivers side
Im not shure what a 2250 is but if its a backho or somthing the power stearing will run off of the hydraulic oil and pump of the machine.
First thing to do is check your power steering fluid level. If it is full, and that does not fix your problems, check all of your power steering lines and make sure there are no kinked/pinched lines. If none of this fixes it then you should have it looked at by your local mechanic. If none of the above strategies fix it, then there is a slight chance that your Pwr Steering pump is bad.
