The entire rack is screwed into the roof of the SUV, up from the SUV roof into the rack. However, if you want to remove the 2 cross-bars, pop off the black plastic "half-cones" at the front of rack, and then the bars can be removed.
Not sure when you ask this question but I will try to answer your question the best I can.1. you want to check out the nadaguide.com click on RV tab at the top, then go down to camping trailers(will show a picture of a tent trailer) then click on your Make of your tent trailer then look in the list for your Model then it should show you how much a 14' tent trailer weighs
The average price for a pop up tent varies. If you are looking for a children's pop up tent the average is around $40. For a gazebo type adult pop up tent, the average price is around $100.
It depends on the size of the tent trailer and how the Escape it outfitted. A 2009 Ford Escape with a class III hitch/towing package and a V6 is rated to tow up to 3500 lbs, which is plenty to hall most pop-up campers/tent trailers, although there is such a variety in size among tent trailers that it is possible to exceed this. An escape with a I-4, and without the towing package but with an add on after market hitch can't haul nearly as much and you might be hard pressed to find a tent trailer that you can haul. So basically you need far more information to know if your Escape can haul a camper or not.
A pop-up tent is much quicker to set up than a traditional tent, and is generally easier to carry into the woods. Though smaller, pop-up tents are a very convenient alternative to traditional tents.
Yes it is a trailer and a camper
In a pop up tent, you can fit somewhere between two to five adults, depending on the size of the tent. Most pop up tents can fit around four adults, while the cheaper and smaller ones fit two.
I think that you would have better luck contacting the manufacturer and seeing if you can get some replacements. I have a tent that had the poles damaged in the wind and the only way that I could use the tent again is to fix the poles or to buy new ones. I can't fix the poles so the tent stays in the bag. But since you are talking about a pop up camper it would be a waste to not use it again. I would try to find a metal shop in your area that works with aluminum. (I'm assuming they are aluminum) I'm sure that they could make you some new ones. A good metal worker can make just about anything. Good luck! Don't give up. If you can't get replacements I'm sure that someone could make you some new ones.
Depends on the size. The mk4 Jetta TDI (1999 - 2005) can tow something like 1200lbs. Look in the owner's manual, it should give you the details on max weight and tongue weight.
Bill Moss and Henry Stribley invented the first pop up tent in 1955. They received the first patent.
