I had that in a vehicle i used to drive, and they had to replace the whole wiring system inside the transmission
ignition will be turned off and keys left in ignition, transmission placed in park (automatic) or reverse (manual), parking brake set, parking lights/emergency flashers on
check transmission fluid, make sure it is all the way into reverse and make sure the emergency brake is not engaged.
transmission -------------------- You might want to check that emergency brake is not stuck on. It is easy to check. If you can push the car in neutral then the emergency brake and brake system is not the problem. Another thing to check for is the the CV axel hasn't come apart. Check the transmission fluid - does it smell burnt and how is the color ? More importantly ...is the transmission full ? If you have a leak then the transmission will not build enough pressure to move the car.(automatic transmission) If the car is a manual transmission then you probably have a bad clutch. Still, even if it has amanual trans...check the brakes and the axel. Best of luck.
No
Sounds like you may have a frozen clutch pack. No quick fix there, talk to a transmission shop.
The emergency brake cable is probably seized and the emergency brake is not releasing.
put your car in reverse and pull the hand brake. done
Does the engine rev when you press on the accelerator? If it does check to make sure the emergency brake is not engaged. Is the car an automatic or a standard transmission? You have to make sure it is in gear.If it is a standard the problem is the cluch apparatus, pressure plate etc. If automatic you have to check the level of fluid in the automatic transmission.
No , ATF is automatic transmission fluid
There is none. It is all automatic.
Most likely the plates or discs in the transmission are stuck together. There is really nothing to be done but repair or replace the transmission. I assume this is an automatic. They tend to fuse together so additives do not help.
Remove the rear tire and wheels. Remove the emergency brake shoe spring. The brake shoe will come off. Reverse the process to install the new brake shoe.
