Buying American made cars keeps the money in America, instead of supporting foreign made vehicles.
Consumer vehicle or industrial vehicle? American made, foreign made, or of all vehicles made?
cars. com has an index for American made cars
There really is NO "Nickname" for American made vehicles, but you CAN call them Domestic's because they are domestically made vehicles and not foreign made, hence the term "Foreign and Domestic Repair Shop", some shops wont even touch foreign cars while others will and some shops only speciallize in repairing foreign auto's.
First of all, I doubt that is true. Secondly, I doubt there is a noticeable difference in car preference on either side of the isle. Thirdly, many "foreign cars" are made in American and many "domestic cars" are made outside of America. And Finally, Obama drives an domestic car and McCain drives a foreign car.
yes its American made
Made in Germany. So they're not foreign if you're German!
Internationally made cars unforunately :-(
Unfortunately I have to say, many foreign cars are built better and last longer and are trouble free.
Perhaps because he thinks that foreign cars and people who drive them are stealing opportunities away from cars made in your home country (America?)?
Camry cars are considered to be safe and reliable. A con in regards to Camry cars is the price. Camry cars are made from Toyota, a Japanese brand. They are popular cars.
Not all foreign cars are faster than American cars. There are many fast American-made cars such as the Ford GT and the Corvette SS but most of the time foreign are more faster because in othe countries like Europe or Asia the freeway speeds ara up to a 150 mph minimun so that's why they are more faster they made them like that to match that country speed limits. The Americans never realised that it is possible to run out of space, fuel or materials. So instead of building things smarter or better, they simply made them bigger and heavier with bigger, heavier, thirstier (poorly engineered) engines.American suspension design didn't change much from 1950 to 1990, for instance. Europeans have on the other hand always been faced with challenges concerning space and materials. They built cars smarter and better, and incorporated technology into vehicles and engines. That's why the average 4 cylinder German sedan outperforms the average 6 cylinder Yank Tank... And uses MUCH less fuel!
