As with any other profession, some are good and some are not. My advice is to look for a ASE Certified mechanic. Here is how to find a good mechanic in any state. Step 1:
Ask friends who have your make or model car if they would recommend their mechanic. Step 2:
Get a recommendation of certified mechanics from an auto club like AAA, if you're a member. You can also find mechanics with valuable certification from the National Institute for Auto Service Excellence (ASEcert.org). Step 3:
If you have a specialty vehicle or sports car, try to get a recommendation from a local auto club--the Miata Club, for example. Step 4:
Find a dealer that has the most service awards from the manufacturer. Those mechanics have been manufacturer certified. Step 5:
Check with the Better Business Bureau (bbb.org) to learn whether a garage has any strikes against it. Ask how the shop charges before you have any work done.
Jobs involving parts are in demand. Auto parts to mechanical engineers and just mechanics. From fixing cars, to adding parts to cars or fixing electronic equipment can make someone a good living.
cars.com always has really good deals on cars or try craigslist.com
If you enjoy working on cars and are good at it - yes. Cars are always going to break and mechanics get paid very well - starting at $36,000 per year.
I have no idea!! I would say its like everywhere else. Like docctors and nurses would have good jobs, mechanics, and vets and farmers. thats my guess
Michigan State is a good vet school in Michigan.
A good mechanic has an understanding of the workings of a car. When something goes wrong he can troubleshoot it and repair it. If you can't figure out how the oiling system works or why it's important, you probably won't make a good mechanic.
The best ones believe it or not are mechanics because they know everything about cars. If they can fix a car, they can install audio into one. And they would be good at it.
Mechanics need to be able to read schematics, understand basic computer usage, how to calibrate equipment, safety rules, understand vacuum systems and electronics. As a mechanic on the job training is important and the master mechanics are not always the best teachers so you have to be a problem solver, too. Good luck.

If you have the ability and you know something about mechanics and working on cars then it may be possible to change them yourself. In changing them yourself it would save you a good bit of money.
The United States Department of Interior has a lot of good information on fixing concrete walls. Home Adviser is also a very good place to get information from consultants on fixing concrete walls.
The auto industry remains a large part of the state's economy.
