bad girlfriend...or gravity
"Gravity" is.
The force pulling us to the center of the Earth is called gravity. It is a fundamental force of nature that attracts objects with mass towards each other.
The force of gravity acting on you is generally referred to as weight.
Pushing a Car or Pulling a Dog Leash.
The forces acting on the bucket are the gravitational force pulling the bucket down and the normal force exerted by your hand pushing the bucket up. These forces cancel each other out, resulting in a state of equilibrium where the bucket remains stationary. As a result, there is no net force acting on the bucket to cause a change in its state of motion.
FORCE it may be reffered to as resistance if it's direction is opposite to the motion direction
The two forces acting on a launching pad immediately after leaving a rocket are gravity pulling it downward and air resistance pushing against its movement.
Gravity . . . pulling you down. The scale . . . pushing you up. If these two forces were not equal, then there would be a net force on the bottom of your feet, either upward or downward, and you would be accelerating.
I'd call it the resultant, but "net force" is a good name too.
